Mountain Child Advocacy Center Ushers in New Era with Executive Director Christine Malloy

The Mountain Child Advocacy Center (Mountain CAC) is thrilled to introduce Christine Malloy as its new Executive Director. Dedicated to providing every child with a secure and healthy childhood, the center welcomes Malloy, a stalwart of the organization for numerous years.

Christine Malloy's track record with Mountain CAC speaks volumes. Having been an active contributor and a revered Board member for five years, she embodies over two decades of dynamic leadership, primarily focusing on creating improved systems and results for children's welfare.

On her appointment, Kellye Bradshaw, the newly appointed Chair of the Board of Directors and a long-time Mountain CAC supporter, mentioned, "Christine's consistent commitment to our cause has made her the natural choice to navigate Mountain CAC into its promising future."

This leadership transition occurs as Geoff Sidoli, the former Executive Director, assumes a pivotal role at the National Children's Alliance (NCA). His contributions since 2015 have been instrumental in transforming Mountain CAC from a solitary staff operation to a robust team of 20, providing holistic services to hundreds of families annually.

Christine Malloy, stepping into the large shoes left by Sidoli, expressed, "Geoff's lasting legacy at Mountain CAC is undeniable. I am both humbled and exhilarated to expand upon his vision, and leverage my experience to further amplify the impactful work being accomplished by our team."

The rigorous selection process for the new Executive Director was meticulously curated. The Interview Committee was composed of board members and staff representatives who closely reviewed the credentials and capabilities of all candidates. Ultimately, Malloy's wide-ranging expertise and unwavering energy cemented her position.

A Michigan native, Malloy's accomplishments span from receiving accolades in Florida for her advocacy to playing an essential role in relocating Mountain CAC at the Mission Children's Hospital's Reuter Outpatient Center in 2016. Her deep-rooted commitment is evident when she shares, "Our primary objective is to mitigate the consequences of childhood trauma, which, if left unaddressed, can spiral into significant challenges in adulthood."

Congratulations to Geoff Sidoli, LCSW, Executive Director of Mountain Child Advocacy Center, who has been recruited away by the National Children’s Alliance, the accrediting agency for all Child Advocacy Centers. Geoff has served as Executive Director of Mountain CAC since 2015, leading the agency from a staff of one employee, himself, to a team of 20, serving hundreds of families every year with Prevention, Advocacy, and Therapy programs. At NCA, Geoff will be furthering the mission to bring best-practice evidence-based treatment to children who have suffered abuse trauma. Our loss is the gain for more children in the nation, and we celebrate that.
